How can we help?

1. Open Forgeter and tap Next through the welcome screens, or tap Skip.
2. Enter your phone number and tap Send code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code we text you and tap Verify.

Prefer not to use your number? Tap Continue with LinkedIn instead.

• Check that you entered all 10 digits of your number and picked the right country code.
• Wait 30 seconds, then tap Resend code.
• Make sure your phone has signal and can receive texts. Wi-Fi alone isn't enough.
• Check whether your carrier or a spam filter blocks short-code texts.

Still nothing after a few tries? Contact us with your phone number and we'll look into it.

After you sign in, add a photo (or pick a built-in avatar), your name and your birthday. Turn on Show my birthday to contacts so friends get a heads-up before your day. You can change all of this later in Profile → Edit profile.

• Notifications so you know when messages and reminders arrive.
• Contacts to find friends who already use Forgeter.
• Location, always so place reminders work when you arrive at a store, even when the app is closed.

Everything still works without contacts or location, apart from those features. Change permissions anytime in Settings.

On the Chats screen, tap the menu button and choose New chat or New group. For a group, add a name and pick members, then tap Create group.

Open the group, tap its name, then Invite to group. You can Copy link, Share link or Reset link. Resetting turns off the old link, so anyone who has it can no longer join.

1. Type your message.
2. Tap the clock button next to the message box and pick a date and time.
3. Tap Schedule.

The message shows with a dashed outline and its send time, such as "Sends Friday at 6:40 PM". To change it, go to Plans → Scheduled and tap Edit, Send now or Delete.

Tap + next to the message box. Choose a photo or the camera, Send a document, or Share location. You can add text to a photo before you send it.

To share your live location, pick 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours. People in the chat see where you are as you move until the time runs out or you stop sharing.

Tap the globe button next to the message box to send your messages in another language. If Forgeter knows a contact reads another language, it offers to turn this on for you. Tap Original to see what was written before translation.

Touch and hold a message to react, reply, forward, star, pin or see message info. To delete, choose Delete for me or Delete for everyone. Find starred messages from the Chats menu.

Forgeter watches for plans, dates and to-dos in your chats, like "Friday works! 7 at Luca's?". When it spots one, a gold Forgeter caught this card appears in the chat. Tap Add to plans to keep it, or ignore it. Only you see these cards.

Open your Profile and tap Memories to see everything Forgeter is keeping for you. Tap an item to edit or delete it, or tap Add to tell Forgeter something new to remember.

Tap ✕ on any Forgeter card, like "Mom's birthday is Saturday", to dismiss it. Forgeter won't add anything to your plans unless you tap to confirm.

The Plans tab has three views: Scheduled for messages waiting to send, Dates for birthdays and important dates, and Places for place reminders. Tap a day in the week strip to see what's coming. Tap + to add a scheduled message, important date or place reminder.

1. Go to Plans → Places and tap New place reminder.
2. Type what you need, such as "Vitamins".
3. Choose where, such as Walgreens, then Any location or Only my usual one.
4. Choose Arrive or Leave and tap Save reminder.

You can also just ask Forgeter: "Remind me to buy wine at Walmart". The free plan includes up to 5 place reminders. Plus has unlimited.

Go to Profile → Edit profile → Add an important date, or tap + in Plans. Give it a name and date, pick a kind (birthday, anniversary or other), and choose when to be reminded: same day, 1 day before or 1 week before. Turn on Share with contacts so it pops up for them a few days before.

When a contact shares their birthday, Forgeter reminds you ahead of time with a message ready to send. Tap Send wishes to send now or schedule it for the day, or tap Later.

Tap the flower button in the middle of the tab bar. Type or tap the mic and ask things like "What's my week look like?" or "Tell Evelyn I'm running 10 min late". Forgeter checks with you before it texts, calls or sets anything up. Holding for you shows what it's keeping track of right now.

1. Open the Phone tab and choose AI call, or tap Have Forgeter call for me.
2. Choose who to call and add the questions to ask.
3. Turn on Record the call if you want a recording. Forgeter tells them the call is recorded.
4. Tap Start AI call.

Forgeter introduces itself as an AI assistant calling for you and texts you the answers. While the call runs you can Listen in, Take over or End it. Free includes 3 AI calls a month, and Plus includes 30.

• Forgeter call is a free voice or video call over the internet to someone on Forgeter.
• Phone call is a regular call to their number and uses your phone plan.
• AI call means Forgeter calls for you, asks your questions and texts you the answers.

In the Feed tab, tap your status to add a photo or text. Choose who can see it. A status disappears after 24 hours, and you can see who viewed it.

Open Feed sources to pick what flows into your feed, or tap Add an RSS feed to follow any site. Your catch-up from Forgeter connects news to your plans, like transit delays on the morning a message is scheduled to go out.

Ads on the free plan are labeled "Sponsored". Tap the menu on an ad to see Why am I seeing this?, Hide this ad or Report ad. Forgeter Plus removes ads.

No ads, unlimited place reminders, 30 AI calls a month, a Plus badge and early access to new features. Plus is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, which works out to $3.33 a month.

Go to Profile → Settings → Forgeter Plus, choose monthly or yearly and tap Start 7-day free trial. Payment goes through your Apple or Google account. Forgeter never sees your card. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts.

Go to Settings → Your subscription → Cancel subscription. Forgeter takes you to your store's subscription page.

• iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Forgeter.
• Android: Google Play → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Forgeter.

You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.

Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you subscribed with, open the Forgeter Plus screen and tap Restore purchases.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for iPhone, or from your Google Play order history for Android.

Go to Profile → Edit profile to change your photo, name, "About" text, birthday and important dates. To change the phone number you sign in with, go to Settings → Account and privacy.

In Edit profile, turn off Show to contacts to hide your birthday. Turn off Show my age so contacts see only the day and month. What contacts see previews your profile as others see it.

Tap the menu on a post to Mute the person or Report post. Choose why you're reporting it and we'll review it. To report a message, touch and hold it.

Go to Profile → Log out. Your chats, plans and memories stay saved to your account. To sign back in, you'll need your phone number and a new code.

Go to Settings → Account and privacy → Delete account, or email support@forgeterai.com. Deleting removes your profile, memories and plans, and it can't be undone. Messages you already sent stay with the people who received them. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

• Set Forgeter's location access to Always, not "While using".
• Turn on Precise location.
• Make sure notifications are on for Forgeter.
• Turn off battery saver or Low Power Mode, which can pause location updates.
• If you chose Only my usual one, the reminder won't fire at other branches.

Check that notifications are allowed for Forgeter in your phone's settings and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't on. Make sure the chat isn't muted. Then restart Forgeter.

Give Forgeter access to your photos in your phone's settings. Choose Full access, or add the photos you want under Limited access. You can also pick a built-in avatar for your profile.
